Access to health care and health and well-being information and activities is now more convenient for those living near Sandy Springs, Georgia.
On Thursday, Sept. 13, Humana and its subsidiary Concentra, a leading provider of employer health-care services, celebrated the opening of a Humana Guidance Center, a Concentra Urgent Care center, and a Concentra Primary Care center, all in the same Sandy Springs retail plaza.
Sandy Springs Mayor Eva Galambos, former NBA star Dale Ellis and area residents joined Concentra Chief Medical Officer Tom Fogarty, M.D., Mayda Antun, M.D., national medical director, Concentra Primary Care, and Humana’s Emily Allen, director, consumer experience, retail segment, for the grand opening event and tours of the new centers.
This is the first Humana Guidance Center in the Atlanta market. Humana Guidance Centers, which are open to anyone in the community, provide resources and classes to help people better manage their health plans, along with their health and well-being, and are conveniently located where people live and shop.
The new Concentra Urgent Care center is the company’s 18th medical center in the Greater Atlanta area. The center provides an additional resource for occupational medicine and employer health-care services to the large employer client base served by Concentra, along with urgent care services to the general public.
With this new Sandy Springs medical center, Concentra Primary Care adds its third location to the Atlanta market, offering a comprehensive approach to health care that includes a family doctor and care coordinator to address a patient’s overall health needs.
