Humana Contributes to Day 2 of NY Forum

The panel did all agree that behavior change would a critical component to reducing health care costs and improving well-being. Throughout the NY Forum Humana addressed this issue by showcasing (see below on-site experience) the need to focus on well-being and how Humana is approaching this need with innovation.

Mike McCallister Addresses Economy at NY Forum

Mike McCallister participated in the opening plenary session at the NY Forum. On a panel entitled, “The Economic Balancing Act,” Mike was joined by Glenn Hubbard, Dean, Columbia Business School; David Leonhardt, Economic Columnist, The New York Times; Edmund Phelps, Nobel Prize winner in Economics, 2006, and Director, Center on Capitalism and Society, Columbia University; Mark Zandi, Chief Economist, Moody’s Analytics; Richard Lesser, Chairman, North and South America, The Boston Consulting Group; and moderator, Maria Bartiromo, Anchor, CNBC.

Mike provided the business perspective on the panel noting to the 700+ crowd the issue around confidence and need to bring it back in the U.S. The audience included key media outlets such as Quentin Hardy of Forbes who blogged about the panel and included highlights from each of the speakers.
